The chunky heel. I really don’t know how I feel about it. It’s showing up everywhere from renowned and new designers and brands alike which makes me want to love it, really it does…but I just can’t. In fact saying that I don’t really know how I feel about is a little bit of a white lie because deep down in my heart of hearts I know how I feel. I detest them.
As accessories go, bulky and oversized is usually good, like when it comes to jewelry and purses. Even if you’re a tiny clutch carrying gal, you probably own at least a few good-sized bags that can fit everything from all the usual essentials to a pair of heels and your favorite magazine. I can’t really condone the Mary Kate Olsen sized ones that look like you’re smuggling small children, but a reasonably large bag is rather nice and very practical. And a large, chunky necklace may not be appropriate for every occasion, but with the right look it can complete the outfit. Read the rest of this story »
